Hoggs Hill Lane footpath Crossing has been vandalised and Network Rail has padlocked it shut

Hoggs Hill Lane crossing update.

Formby Cllr Nina Killen has given an update on the Hoggs Hill Lane footpath crossing.

Cllr Nina Killen said: "Network Rail has had to close the Hoggs Hill Lane footpath crossing in #Formby due to vandalism of a gate. The gate was not able to close and due to the fact that there is a third rail on this line, Network Rail could not leave it open."

"It is not known when the crossing will reopen as NR are trying to source a new gate. The gate is padlocked out of use to the public at this time."

"A further update will be provided when it is known when the crossing will reopen."
