Fondly Remembering Eric Blease – A Much-Loved Face in the Formby Community

It is with great sadness that we share the funeral arrangements for Eric Lewis Blease, who will be very sadly missed by his family, friends and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Eric leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love, laughter and fun. He will be remembered with enormous fondness by the many people whose lives he touched over the years.

For many years, Eric was the caretaker at Our Lady of Compassion Primary School in Formby, where he met some wonderful people and became a familiar and much-loved part of the school community.

Eric’s funeral service will take place on Monday 24th August 2026 at 2:00pm at:

Holy Trinity Church

Rosemary Lane

Formby

Liverpool

Merseyside

This will be followed by the committal at 3:00pm at:

Thornton Crematorium

Lydiate Lane

Thornton

Liverpool

L23 1TP

Eric passed away on 8th August 2026, just two days before what would have been his 85th birthday.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Eric’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time. May the many happy memories of his laughter, kindness and the good times shared with him bring some comfort in the days ahead.
