A wonderful evening with Richard Smith at The $ix $tring House in Formby

Tuesday the 12th November saw the first, $ix $tring House, guitar event, at The Formby Club, start in spectacular fashion. A sold out audience was treated to a very special evening in the company of Richard Smith who is undoubtably one to the worlds greatest guitarists.

Richard’s promotional material promised ,“From Bach to Beatles and barn-burners to ballads”. What it doesn’t prepare you for is a worldwind tour around the globe listening to guitar music from America, South America, Spain, Japan and so on. All of which is linked together by fascinating anecdotes and a large helping of humour. Richard’s playing defies belief, but you will get the opportunity to see him again next year as Richard promises to be back to Formby later on in the year from his home in Nashville.
