Formby Rotary Club Santa Wagon starts it's rounds on Sunday 1st December
The Rotary Club of Formby are busy getting the Carol Wagon ready for Father Christmas's tours round Formby.
This is the Clubs biggest fundraising event of the year and the Club is hoping that the generous folk of Formby will dig deep into their pockets once again. Monies raised go to local charities.
His first appearance will be at the Village Lights Turn On on Sunday 24 November when he will be parked up ready to listen to children's Christmas present wish lists. On Sunday 1st December he begins his tours round Formby and he is looking forward to meeting everyone once again.
Some routes and dates have been changed this year to make sure Father Christmas doesn't miss anyone out.
Father Christmas has gone hi tech this year and will have a live feed to the website each night he's out and about so you can see exactly where he is and catch up with him if you've missed him! The Carol Wagon and Father Christmas will also be outside Formby Tesco Sunday 22nd December.
Not listed below, but we have had it confirmed that The Bellway estate off Park Road will be having their visit on Friday 20th Decemeber, this will be the same date as some local pubs santa visit too.
It is advised that you check website nearer the time to make sure there’s not been any changes.
Club members are getting older every year and we are finding it more difficult to provide sufficient collectors due to illness and ageing! We need younger legs! If you fancy a good workout in the lead up to the excesses of the festive season please contact Club secretary Oliver Whitaker on 01704 877209 to arrange the nights you could help out on the Carol Wagon.
The dates the wagon will be visiting are listed below
