Autumn Art Exhibition this Saturday 10th November
THE ASSOCIATION of Formby Artists will be holding their bi-annual art exhibition on November 10th this year. The exhibition will take place at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Rosemary Lane, Formby between 9.30am and 4.30pm. More than 200 original paintings created by local artists will be on display. There will be lots of paintings from watercolours to oils and acrylics to painted silk. There will be a raffle to win one of the paintings and the draw is expected to take place at 4.30pm. The vast majority of paintings will be for sale and can be taken away at the end of the exhibition. Hand painted cards and other hand crafted goods will also be on sale. Visitors will be invited to vote for their choice of the best paintings in watercolour and other media. There will be an entry fee of £1 which includes a catalogue and refreshments. There is no charge for younger children who are also welcome. Roger Jenkins, a member of the Association of Formby Artists said: “Our exhibitions have always been something of a social events for art lovers with an average of 500 visitors enjoying the day." ”At present there are a few vacancies for new members and anyone interested is encouraged to come along and discuss joining us if they live in Formby.“ For more information on the club visit their Facebook page at The Association of Formby Artists.
