Import Shipping Assistant / Office Admin Role – Full Time - Formby. AB Lewis Ltd is a leading importer of specialist hardwoods and wood flooring.

This is an opportunity for the right person to join the team in our Formby office.
This combined role will involve supporting the Shipping and Admin functions as follows;
Customs Clearance and Import Procedures
Issuing Clearance & Delivery Instructions to Forwarding / Customs Agents
Processing of Purchase Contracts with Overseas Suppliers and maintaining Contract Database.
Checking and processing of Purchase Invoices and Import Shipping Documentation.
Performing ‘Due Diligence’ checks for EUTR. (Training can be provided)
Checking C88 & E2’s and Deferment Statements.
Updating and maintaining Stock Control System.
Producing Shipping and Stock reports.
Maintaining Delivery Booking System.
Collating and submitting data for Waste Packing Regulations (Training can be provided)
General admin duties; filing, telephone queries, data entry, processing supplier invoices, some sales and purchase ledger work, sales invoicing.
Profile
The successful candidate will have the following:
Previous experience in an import shipping role.
General office admin experience.
Excellent attention to detail.
Willing to learn quickly.
Ability to work to deadlines.
A pleasant, customer-facing manner with excellent communication skills.
Be a team player with the ability to be flexible according to the business needs.
