Another birthday for Formby Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Formby recently held its 51st Charter Night. This event is held annually to mark the Club's Charter being granted.

This year the Club has been in existence for 51 years. The Club's President, Alan Gibson and his wife, Viv, welcomed their guests. Once again the Club attended a dinner at West Lancs Golf Club which was excellent. The District Governor, Steve Martin with his wife Marie, was in attendance and he gave a short speech to the guests.

Once the speeches were done and dusted guests were treated to an entertainment from Ian Clark. He is a local raconteur, songwriter and musician. He kept his audience amused with funny stories and some of the songs he has written.

It was a very enjoyable evening and the Club's thanks go to the staff at West Lancs Golf Club for their excellent service.
