Altcar Training Camp are holding a 10k Trail Race in September for charity and are looking for more competitors.
Last year, there was 120 people who took part and they raised an amazing £2,800 for the ABF Soldiers Charity.
Organiser Tony Davies-Musker said: "This year is already shaping up to be far more successful than last year. We have 60 competitors already paid and signed up for the event and I am confident that we will reach 300 competitors this year and raise far more money for the charity."
The Altcar 10k trail race. Is a unique opportunity to run on the normally inaccessible sand dune and Riverbank range of Altcar Training camp in Hightown near Formby. The route will take you along the untouched Riverbank of the River Alt for approximately 2 miles then around the training areas, through a wooded area and then into the undulating sand dunes. It is ideal for novice right up to professional.
All proceeds go to the ABF The Soldiers Charity. The race is a 10K trail race through the sand dunes and woodlands of the camp, it will take place on Sunday 30th September 2018.
