RTC in Woodlands Road Formby

Merseyside Police Traffic: The road is now all clear and re-opened. The driver suffered a suspected medical episode.

Merseyside Police Traffic: Fortunately, the male driver is OK. Avoid WOODLANDS ROAD whilst we clear the road. Thanks.

Original:

A single vehicle RTC on Woodlands Road in Formby. The car had been driving northbound towards Harrington Road shops when it lost control and hit a garden wall and flipped over on to its side.

The driver was an elderly gentleman. His condition is not known at this time. Fire crews rescued him from the vehicle.

Four fire appliances, two Police cars and an ambulance attended the scene which is still on-going at 12:29hrs.

Woodlands Road remains completely blocked off.
