Formby Village Vets hosted their 6th annual dog show
The Village Vets on Brows Lane in Formby hosted their 6th Annual Dog Show in the grounds of the practice on Saturday 2nd September.
This very popular event for the community saw ‘West Lancs Dog Display Team’ doing an agility display, craft stalls from local artists, live music, pet photographer, face painting, tea, coffee, cakes and even pony rides.
It was a very busy day that was enjoyed by all and they managed to raise over £2,000 for two chosen charities, Cinnamon trust and Breast cancer care. Registered Veterinary Nurse Stephanie Driscoll Said: ”As a practice, we enjoy raising money for charity, we have a bake sale each September as well to raise money for Macmillan. We have a loose change pot at reception which we donate to a chosen charity when we reach £100, before choosing another charity and starting again.’’
Some of the entries included Cutest puppy, Waggiest tail, Most handsome male, Prettiest female, Best dressed and lots more.
A spokesperson from Village Vets said: "We would like to thank everyone who supported our charity dog show. We raised more than £1,200, smashing last years total! Lloyd's Bank have kindly offered to match the total raised taking the total to £2,400. which means both charities will receive a massive £1,200 each. A great result and a great show!"
