Police called to an incident on the Mayflower Industrial Estate

The Police were called to an incident today, Friday 9th June on the old Mayflower Industrial Estate off Liverpool Road. They received a call of a burglary in progress at 2pm.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We initially had reports of a burglary on the Mayflower Industrial Estate in Formby but, it later emerged that it was a misunderstanding."

"The suspected burglars were in fact workmen who were legitimately supposed to be there. This has now been logged as a ‘good intent’ call."
