Formby Choral Society are holding a Summer Concert

Formby By The Sea is the last concert of the season, and will really provide "something for everyone".

Starting with Elgar's beautiful Sea Pictures in an arrangement for choir (rather than the original mezzo-soprano solo), we cover a wide range of music - arrangements of spirituals by John Rutter, local songs (Ferry 'Cross the Mersey" and Liverpool Lou), culminating in a fabulous medley of songs from the Beatles: Lennon & McCartney On Love.

We will also be welcoming the local, young, Saxophone quartet from Merchant Taylors' School: SaxPac, who have recently been delighting audiences all round the Merseyside area, at weddings, birthday parties, charity events and church concerts.
