Three-vehicle road traffic collision in Formby

Firefighters were called to a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the Formby Bypass close to Altcar Road on Wednesday, May 17 just before 6.30pm.

Two fire engines attended the incident, together with the Search and Rescue Team.

Firefighters assisted paramedics in removing a male casualty from one of the vehicles. He was taken to Southport and Formby District General Hospital for further checks.

Fire crews remained at the scene for around 50 minutes.

Thankfully, there were no serious injuries and the emergency services were able to divert traffic around the scene.
