Cllr Pat Gwyther resigns from her post on Formby Parish Council
Cllr Pat Gwyther has made a sudden resignation from her seat on Formby Parish Council. Pat was elected in May 2015 and represented Harington Ward. Pat was Chairman of the Environment Group and has a keen interest in the environment and protecting the green belt. Pat had monthly meetings with Sefton Council to ensure that local problems, such as broken street lights in Formby were addressed and loved to be a part of the gardening in Formby Village, ensurng the flowers were planted and cared for to a very high standard.
Formby Parish Council said they were very sorry to receive the resignation of Cllr. Pat Gwyther. At the most recent meeting, all councillors paid tribute to her hard work over the last 18 months which has set a very high standard for the flowers in the village, something for which the Parish Council receives many complements. Cllr Bob McCann, Chair of the Parish Council said, we wish Pat the all the very best and hope we can maintain her very high gardening standards."
Bob went on to say: "If anybody in the community wishes to be involved with the planting of flowers in the village, can you please contact the Parish Clerk at the library to volunteer. It would only be for a couple of days in a year but would help make a big job a bit easier."
