Free screening of ‘Voices from the gasfields’ on 8 December
Want to know more about fracking and how it affects communities?
Frack Free Formby will be showing ‘Voices from the gasfields’, a hard-hitting documentary exploring the devastation and contamination caused by hydraulic fracturing (more commonly known as fracking) in Queensland, Australia, and now threatening Formby.
Documenting the accounts of families living with the hydrocarbon industry as a neighbour, this hour long film reveals the shocking day-to-day pollution these people live with – pollution of water, air, light and sound, all of which we need to survive.
The screening takes place on Thursday 8 December at 7pm at Warren Farm, Southport Old Road, Formby, L37 0AN. It will be followed by a Q&A session, with guest speakers from Roseacre Awareness Group and Friends of the Earth.
Admission is free of charge, although donations are welcomed. Doors open 6.30 p.m. Refreshments, including mince pies and mulled wine will be served. Please do come along and show your support.
