A busy month ahead for Sefton Coast Landscape Partnership - Why not join them?
A busy month lies ahead for the Friends of the Sefton Coast volunteer network. On Wednesday November 9th, the team will be tackling scrub and habitat work at Rimrose Valley (Gorsey Lane end from 10.30am), while on Wednesday, November 16th it’ll be time for a beach clean-up, meeting at the car park at Weld Road, Birkdale at 1.30pm. This session will conclude at 4pm.
Booking through Sefton Council’s coast and countryside team is essential for Animal Lookering Training, taking place at Ainsdale Discovery Centre on Tuesday, November 22nd, from 10am to 4pm, when volunteers can learn how to work with the winter grazing cattle on the coast.
Finally on Friday, November 25th the volunteers will be working on the boardwalk at Lifeboat Road, Formby from 10.30am-12.30pm.
The Friends of the Sefton Coast volunteer network enjoys a range of events and tasks every month, and organisers at Sefton Council’s coast and countryside team are always on the look-out for enthusiastic people to register – the more the merrier!
So if you’d like to help manage the Sefton coast for its amazing flora and fauna and history – or you just enjoy a great walk on the beach and want to do your bit to look after it, why not sign up?
