Formby Swimming Club welcome new coaches

Formby Swimming Club have recently secured the services of two very experienced swimming coaches to assist Head Coach Paul Cumberbatch.
The new team, who have worked together in the past, have immediately increased the focus on technique and stamina building on the very solid foundations set by Paul and the team.
The club have a busy season of competitive gala's ahead and therefore look forward to reaping the results of this approach.
Meg Langley, Assistant Head Coach Meg is an ex-national level swimmer, who started swimming for Bootle and North Liverpool and swam for the City of Liverpool until she was 17. She works full time as a senior physiotherapist in the NHS and has been training swimmers for 9 years.
She started coaching at City of Liverpool SC from 2010-15, was Head Coach for Bridgefield SC for 12 months and was the coach of the Swim Skills South Squad for Liverpool, which is fed from all the clubs across Merseyside.
Dave Jones, Assistant Head Coach An ex-competitive swimmer for Crosby SC and City of Liverpool SC, Dave works full time as a high-school teacher leading in construction, design and careers management.
He has been teaching and coaching swimmingfor 12 years.
