Injury shooting - Fazakerley

Detectives have launched an investigation after an injury shooting in the Fazakerley area last night, Sunday 18 September. At around 11.45pm, a call was received of a man in his 20s having been shot in a wooded area near to Lower Lane, resulting in him receiving shotgun injuries to his back. Police and the ambulance service attended and the man has been taken to hospital, where his current condition is described as serious but stable. Extensive CCTV, forensic and house-to-house enquiries are ongoing this morning at the scene.
