Fund raising page set up to help the families through the davastation of Shorrocks fatal fire

In light of the devasting news today about the fatal fire at Shorrocks Hill stables, a friend of the family has started a fund raising page to help the families through this ordeal....

Today some devastating news was heard that my best friends stables caught fire. They have lost everything they have worked so hard for, for years, including their 10 beloved horses and a family member. I can't imagine how hard this must be for them to deal with so I'm trying my best to get some money sorted for them to help them get back on their feet. Any donation is appreciated ❤

Update at 5:50pm

Merseyside Police have confirmed that the man who died in a fire at Shorrocks Hill in Formby earlier today (Thursday, 25 August) is believed to be Andrew Coogan, although we must stress that at this stage no formal identification has taken place. Officers have spoken to the family of Mr Coogan.

Update at 1:50pm

Investigators at the scene can now confirm that the deceased man was found in the stables, not a caravan as first stated. It has also been confirmed that ten horses were also killed in the blaze.

Merseyside Police are classing this as a critical incident and the site is now a crime scene.
