A week-long beer festival starts TODAY at the Freshfield Pub in Formby
The Freshfield pub in Formby are this week hosting a beer festival showcasing some of the best beers from the local area around the world.
The beer festival will take place for the entire week, from today, Monday July 25 to Sunday July 31 at The Freshfield on Massams Lane. The main bar will start with festival ales from Monday with the courtyard bar open from Thursday. Real ales, craft beers and cider - Over a 100 in total with live music thrown in for your entertainment.
Beer lovers can enjoy a range of options from new and established breweries, with local, national and international beers on offer.
Patrick McGrory, general manager at the Greene King Locals pub said: “We always have a good range of cask ales and bottled beers, but this special beer festival is a chance for our customers to try something they might not have had before.
“We have 100 beers, ciders and craft ales on offer over the week, a list compiled by assistant manager Zak and me.
"We also see the return of our special festival bar in the courtyard on Thursday 28th until the Sunday evening where we will be serving an additional 34 different beers for our guests to sample and enjoy!”
The Freshfield will have a whole host of live music on over the weekend.
