Arrest by officers on Operation Beachsafe on Saturday 2nd July.

Following information from a member of the public, Philip Campbell (40 yrs) from Liverpool, L5 was stop checked by officers and found to be in possession of stolen property from a number of Formby retail stores. He was arrested.

Following further enquiries, it was confirmed that the property found in his possession at time of arrest was from; Boots, My Local, The Card Factory and Savers stores in Formby.

Campbell was later charged with four counts of Theft.

He is due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court later today.
