Aughton Wines only re-opened last Friday under new management and they have been targeted by thieves early hours this morning.
Three masked men with crow bars kicked in the door and despite the alarm going off, they jammied open the cigarette shutter and made off with bundles of tobacco and cigarettes worth hundreds of pounds. They left the float in the till which was open.
The incident happened at approximately 1am. The Police attended the scene and made the premises secure. There were witnesses but the men were masked and got away before the Police arrived.
