RTA in Formby Village
RTA in Formby village involving a cyclist and a car.
At approximately 1pm this afternoon a man, who is believed to be in his 70s, was cycling on Chapel Lane through the roundabout at Three Tuns Lane when he was involved in the collision with a blue Honda Civic. The cyclist fell to the ground banging his head.
The Police arrived on scene quickly and diverted traffic away from the roundabout whilst the cyclist remained on the floor waiting for the Ambulance.
An Ambulance, Paramedics, unmarked Armed Response, Traffic Unit and Police Land Rover attended the scene that became quite a site for this type of accident.
The lady driving the Honda was quite shaken up. It is not thought that the cyclist was seriously hurt.
We do hope that all people involved are alright.
