Robbers armed with crow bars hit the Formby Spar

On Friday 3rd July at approximately 9:30pm, a gang of men armed with iron bars and crow bars attacked the Spar shop on Harington Road in Formby whilst the shop was open. The gang fled the scene on two motorbikes and a car.
Three Police cars attended the scene last night and the Spar shop remained closed this morning whilst the Police continued their investigations.
We cannot disclose any more information whilst the investigation is ongoing.
