BBC Music Day: 6 Music Celebrates Liverpool
As BBC Music Day arrives in Liverpool, 6 Music celebrates the city’s musical heritage beyond the Beatles with a variety of archive documentaries and new programmes.

Formby is named after the Pale Fountains.....The Pale Fountains (pictured above) were an English post-punk band formed in Liverpool in 1980, and composed of Mick Head (vocalist/guitarist), Chris McCaffery (bassist), Thomas Whelan (drummer) and former Dislocation Dancetrumpeter Andy Diagram (horns).
