The most stylish day in the Liverpool calendar has arrived. Ladies Day at Aintree always promises to bring out the city’s fashionistas for a day of racing, dancing and good times.
We’ve rounded up five things you can look forward to on the second day of Aintree.
Stylish ladies and gents upping the fashion stakes
Ladies day is the ultimate day in the Liverpool fashion calendar, with stylish Scousers pulling out all the stops to look their best.
The eyes of the world are on the well-groomed gents and fashionable ladies of Liverpool and beyond as they flock to Aintree in their thousands.

Jake Quickenden
X Factor and I’m a Celeb star Jake Quickenden is performing at the Equestrian centre. The singer was a contestant on last year’s X-factor before moving on to take part in series four of I’m a Celeb.
The heart-throb has a huge female following, so if you’re hoping to catch a glimpse of the reality TV star, we suggest you get there early.
He’ll entertain the crowds with covers of Olly Murs, Oasis and Peter Andre at 6:30.
Style Awards
The highlight of the day for many, the Style Awards are the main attraction for those who love fashion, with £6,000 worth of prizes on offer as well as a Mini Cooper roadster.
Presented by Gok Wan, the award winner will be announced at 3:15pm in the parade ring where the lucky winner will be given their prize.
If you’re looking to enter the style awards, organisers have made it easier this year. Dawn Collinson explains how.
Great Food and Drink
No festival would be complete without some great food and drink, Aintree is no exception.
There’s plenty on offer if you’re after a bite to eat and something to drink- including hog roasts, sushi wraps, and more drinks than you can shake a stick at.
