Treacherous icy road conditions.....

The thick ice on the roads this morning has caused chaos. There was a serious accident on the M57 with a mini bus and overturned cars with all roads in gridlock around switch Island. Roads in and around Formby, including the Formby By-Pass were thic ice and driving was treacherous. The gritters were out last nifght but, the rain through the night caused it to ice over again. Gritters have been out again this morning. Take care wherever you are travelling to and if you don't have to go out, then don't. Safe journeys everyone.
