As we come to the end of 2014, we would like to mention a local Company who have this year celebrated their anniversary of trading in our beautiful Formby for 50 YEARS…..BYRNE & SON

They are celebrating their 50th anniversary after Bernard and Edith Byrne moved their quality menswear store to Formby in 1964 and set up their shop on Brows Lane where it stayed for 43 years until they moved to their new home at 132 Church Road where they are now. After ten years of being in Brows Lane, Bernard and Edith decided to expand the business into next door and that’s when they were joined by their son Chris who is now 66 and his wife Ann who is 63 who are still running the business today. Throughout these years, a mixture of personal service, vast knowledge and experience, have produced a business which provides the finest menswear around, attracting customers from Liverpool, Southport, Ormskirk, Crosby and all areas of Merseyside.

Combining traditional skills with modern methods, this family business provides clothes conscious males with a huge choice of fashion garments. The shop offers the highest standard of service and is stocked with merchandise supplied by only the best menswear brands. There is clothing for every occasion in every size.

The Formalwear department offers suits, jackets, blazers, waistcoats and trousers by all the top names including Brook Taverner in Chest sizes from 36" - 58", Waist sizes from 32" - 54" as well as a wide variety of raincoats and overcoats.

The Casualwear department offers casual trousers, shirts, t-shirts and sweaters by leading brands including Gabicci, Melka and Franco Ponti.
