Its the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice.....

Today and in fact at 11:03pm in Formby tonight is the 2014 Winter Solstice. That means its the shortest day of the year. After tonight, we get two minutes longer of daylight every day so even though its Christmas in just three days, Summer is officially on its way! Fantastic!
