Formby LA Fitness Club has new owners.....

The Formby LA Fitness Club has been bought by Sports Direct Fitness, the leisure division of Sports Direct. The sports retailer which has over 400 stores in the UK. Sports Direct International was founded by Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley. Leases for the 33 sites were put up for sale by LA Fitness in March as part of company voluntary arrangements (CVA) as part of a restructuring plan to reduce debt. Sports Direct have said….We have plans in place to improve the facilities at your club over the coming months. Investing in new equipment and improvements to the environment, your club will be completely transformed. In particular, we will be investing in state of the art Functional Training and Freemotion fitness equipment. Sports Direct has over 600 sports stores in Europe, including 400 in the UK and also owns sports brands such as Dunlop, Everlast and Slazenger.
