ASB in Formby, Police meeting today....

Today at the Police public meeting was a big dissappointment after so many people talking to us about various policing issues and you have a chance to put views forward....Nobody turns up at the meeting except the Police! However, Formby Bubble were there and discussed the issues that have been raised regarding the ASB (Anti Social Behaviour) in the village of late with youths on bikes and in particular the incident with Nikki Robertson having been targeted by these youths whilst in her car. The Police are doing everything that they can, they are aware of all the incidents talked about on the Bubble and are taking action by visiting the local schools to make them aware of this and also letters will be going out to parents to ensure that they are doing everything that they can to make sure their children have lights on their bikes and act responsibly when out on their bikes in public. The on-going problem of this ASB in our village has to have a lot more intervention from you, the public, to act on what you see by phoning 101 if you see any ASB getting out of hand, in doing this, many more incidents will be logged with the Police and in turn, we will receive more Police prescence in our village. If you find yourself in a situation that is threatening, such as in Nikki's case, you must ring 999 immediately and the Police will respond within 10 minutes of that call.

At the end of the day, if we have more Police in the community, there will be less incidents that happen and we can only get more Police by reporting these crimes and ASB in the area, instead of everyone hoping someone else will do somthing, do it yourself....See It, Report It.
