Van Fire on Formby Bypass

The emergency services were called to the A565 Formby Bypass at approximately 5:15pm tonight (Monday 22nd September 2014) following reports of a vehicle fire.

Fire-fighters arrived on scene within minutes to find a Ford Transit van on fire at the traffic lights just past Woodvale end of the Bypass.

They quickly extinguished the blaze.

The vehicle was removed from the scene at 5:35pm.

No injuries involved.
