We are so glad to report that Rubble has found a new home after being dumped on the road in April
From being dumped in the road in April, to a fantastic new home – we are so glad to report that Rubble has found his forever home!
Rubble was one of 2 dogs we found, bewildered and frightened, tied to a bush near the rescue centre on a rainy day in April. They couldn’t tell us, so we will never know how these gorgeous dogs came to be in the sad situation of being dumped in the road.
The female dog, Lily, found a home almost immediately, but Rubble had to wait a bit longer for his miracle to happen. Jackie and Jason, Rubble’s new mum and dad, will be signing the Adoption papers this week. He is being totally spoilt and thoroughly enjoying life in his new home!
Jackie said: “We saw Rubble on the website and fell in love with him straight away. We wanted a dog who would enjoy coming on holiday with us to Scotland, and who we could take on adventures and walks.”
“Rubble was so affectionate and loving and trusting, considering what he has been through. We took him home to ‘foster’ him and, of course, that didn’t work out for the very best reason – we’re adopting him instead!”
“The staff at Freshfields said that Rubble is lucky to find us, but we know that we are the fortunate ones. We can’t believe our luck. He’s lying here now on the rug chilling out, and he loves going on walks and wagging his tail at people.”
Deb Hughes, Communications Officer at Freshfields, said: “Rubble is starting his new life – from being tied to a tree to romping happily through the countryside with his new family. We couldn’t be happier for him. Enjoy your life, Rubble, you deserve it!”
We have so many more dogs with fantastic personalities who would love to find the joy and love that only a real home can bring. Please call us on 0151 931 1604 or contact kennels@freshfields.org.uk
