We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Peter Bennett, who was the much-loved licensee of the Weld Blundell Pub here in Formby from 1972 to 1982.

Many older residents will remember Peter with great fondness, as the Weld Blundell became a warm and welcoming place under his care. He passed away peacefully on 8th August 2025, leaving behind fond memories for all who knew him.

Peter’s funeral service will take place at Flintshire Memorial Park on Monday 1st September at 1pm.

The family have requested family flowers only, with donations, if desired, to be made in Peter’s memory to the ICU at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

Rest in peace, Peter ❤️ You will be remembered with love and respect by the Formby community.
