Traffic Alert: Lane Closure on Formby Bypass Until Thursday Evening

Motorists travelling along Formby Bypass are being advised to expect delays as roadworks are currently taking place near the Liverpool Road roundabout.

Traffic cones and temporary lane restrictions are in place, with highways workers on site carrying out improvements.

According to official roadworks information, the work involves removing and installing signposts, replacing signs and carrying out associated electrical supply connections.

The works began on Tuesday 3rd November at 10am and are scheduled to continue until 11.59pm on Thursday 5th November.

Photographs taken this afternoon show traffic queuing through the affected section, with vehicles being directed around the temporary restrictions.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys, particularly during busy periods.
