Sad news today as a female pedestrian died in the three car crash on Elbow Lane today
Formby Bubble reported earlier today that there was a serious RTC on Elbow Lane and Duke Street in Formby. We have now been informed that a female pedestrian has died after a three-car crash at the scene.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We were called to Elbow Lane at around 4.20pm today, August 2, following a three-car crash. Once at the scene, officers found that a silver Ford Max, a red Jaguar, a white Vauxhall Corsa and two female pedestrians had been involved in a crash."
"A woman, who was one of the pedestrians, was treated at the scene by paramedics after sustaining a serious head injury but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. The other pedestrian also sustained serious injuries after the incident and has been taken to hospital."
The Air Ambulance was also called to the scene and landed on Duke Street Park.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the lady involved.
This is such sad news. Accidents can happen so quickly, and it's always a reminder to be careful on the road. If your car is ever involved in an accident, it's important to have access to 24 hours towing services to help you out. They can safely remove the car and make sure everyone gets the help they need. My thoughts go out to those affected
