A fine and largely dry start, then plenty of sunny spells throughout the day. Widespread showers develop from late morning, with these heavy and possibly thundery into the afternoon. Feeling mild, but becoming a little breezy. Maximum temperature 17°C.

Showers largely clear through evening, but the odd scattered shower remains possible along coasts. Clear skies for western areas, low cloud developing further east. Patchy grass frost possible for Cumbria. Minimum temperature 3°C
