Residents in Formby were surprised to see Nigel Farage in the village today, Thursday 9th April, as political activity increases ahead of the upcoming local elections.
The Reform UK leader was first seen at the war memorial before walking down Chapel Lane, where he was accompanied by a professional camera crew. During his visit, he stopped at several local shops and was also seen purchasing a bouquet of flowers.

The visit had been signposted earlier in the day via an email from Mr Farage’s office, which stated:
“We’re writing to let you know that later this morning Mr Farage will be visiting your constituency.”
Today’s appearance comes as campaigning continues across Sefton Central, with Formby expected to be a key area in the upcoming local elections.
There has been no official statement released by Reform UK regarding the purpose of the visit at this stage.
