Formby’s much-loved Christmas Light Switch-On is back — bigger, brighter, and more festive than ever! Join us as we fill the village with sparkle, song, and the spirit of Christmas.

🎠 What’s Happening

🌟 Fairground Rides – From 3:00pm to 8:00pm, enjoy all your favourite rides and festive fun for the whole family.

🎶 Live Entertainment – The stage bursts into life from 3:50pm with fantastic performances from local schools, choirs, and community groups bringing the magic of Christmas alive through music and dance.

🎅 Santa’s Arrival –

The man in red himself will be here from 3:30pm, spreading cheer and meeting children before his big night!

💡 The Big Switch-On! – At 7:00pm, gather with friends and family as the lights twinkle to life across Formby Village in a dazzling display to mark the start of the festive season!

🚶 Chapel Lane Road Closure –

From 12 noon, Chapel Lane becomes pedestrian-only so you can wander freely, shop locally, and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Our wonderful Formby shops will be open to welcome you, so wrap up warm, grab a hot chocolate, and enjoy the festive buzz throughout the village.
