Formby Golf Club & Formby Ladies Golf Club are all ready for the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship

Formby Golf Club & Formby Ladies Golf Club is one of the world’s great links courses and will play host to the Championship again in 2022. Paul Broadhurst took home the trophy in 2021 after almost three years without a win, with 2022 marking the 28th playing of Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, first won by The European Senior Tour’s most successful golfer, Tommy Horton in 1992.
The Legends
Former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley and 2005 US Open winner Michael Campbell will tee it up at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship from August 24-28. Both Legends have confirmed their attendance with more stars anticipated to join the field in the coming weeks.
The Celebrities
The Celebrity Series will return to Formby in 2022, where on Wednesday 24 August some familiar names from the world of football will be in action albeit competing in a different sport. Former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Teddy Sheringham will join Liverpool icons Sir Kenny Dalglish, Robbie Fowler and Alan Hansen. TV broadcaster Dan Walker will also be golfing for charity, as will snooker Legend and Formby member, John Parrott.
