Don't forget to put your Green Bin out tonight for the final pick up until 9th March 2026

The final green bin collection for the Winter takes place tomorrow in Formby, Monday 24th November.

Please make sure your green bin is out in time, as the next collection will not be until Monday 9th March 2019.

We have also been informed that Sefton Council will no longer be issuing printed green bin calendars to households. To help our community, we have provided a copy of the calendar here on Formby Bubble.

What You Need to Know

♻️ Recycling

• All recycling materials can go together in brown bins or hessian sacks.

• Green wheelie bins can be emptied up until 8pm on collection days.

• No extra bags of general waste or recycling should be left at the kerbside.

🗑️ Bin Lids

• Bin lids must be fully closed for the bin to be collected.

• If you have extra waste that won’t fit with the lid closed, please take it to your nearest Recycling Centre.

🏤 Recycling Centre – Formby

• Now on Winter hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (reduced from the Summer closing time of 8:00pm).

• Located at Formby Recycling Centre, your nearest option for disposals not suitable for kerbside collection.

🚐 Vans & Trailers

If you plan to visit a Recycling Centre in a van or with a long trailer, you will need a permit.
