The air ambulance landed in Formby as a young girl fell from her horse and was dragged along the beach. Members of the public called the emergency services who rushed to the scene on Formby beach this afternoon, Sunday 15th October at around 3.15pm.
A young girl who is believed to be about 6-years-old, fell off her horse whilst riding along Formby Beach in the sea. The girls foot got caught in the stirrup and she was dragged along the beach some considerable distance.
Emergency services including Police, Ambulance and Air Ambulance attended the scene almost immediately. The Air Ambulance landed near to the car park at Formby Point and the crew rushed over to an ambulance and gave assistance to the medical team.
The little girl’s injuries, we have been told are not as bad as first thought which is obviously fantastic news.
