Formby man arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and using threatening behaviour

Three Police cars and a Police van were in attendance at the One Stop car park at 1:15pm today, Friday 2nd August when a 39-year-old man from Formby was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and using threatening behaviour towards another Formby man.
A spokesman from Merseyside Police said: "We arrested a man on suspicion of a public order offence and theft after abuse was shouted at a man in Formby today. A report was received at around 12.45pm at Cross Green that a man had been verbally abused by the offender, who then allegedly stole a bottle of beer from a nearby shop."
"The man from Formby was arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and has been taken to a police station for questioning."
