No change to bin collections in Formby over Easter
You will be pleased to know that there will be no change to bin collections over the Easter period in Formby.
Sefton Council have said to put your brown bins out as normal on Good Friday (30th March) and also your Green bins out on Easter Monday (2nd April). They will be picked up as normal.
Good news for anyone wanting to use the Formby Recycling Centre (the Tip) is that it will be changing to the summer hours of 8.00am to 8.00pm on April 1st (Easter Sunday).
Formby recycling centre is your nearest and is on Winter hours which are from 8.00am until 5.00pm until the last day of March.
What you need to know...
All recycling can go together in the brown bins or hessian sacks. Please note that green wheelie bins can be emptied up until 8pm on collection days. Residents must not put any extra bags of general waste or recycling at the kerbside for collection.
Residents must ensure that the lids of their bins are fully closed when out for collection. If you have any additional waste or recycling that will not fit into your bin with a closed lid please take it to the nearest tip.
If you’re planning to visit a Recycling Centre in a van or with a long trailer then you will need a Permit to get in. Please visit www.merseysidewda.gov.uk or call 0151 236 0305 for more information.
Please check your calendar for your collection dates to ensure you don’t miss them www.sefton.gov.uk
We have been told that Sefton Council will not be issuing the bin calendars any more to households, so we have one here for you.
