Formby Festival is back this July, bigger and better than ever!
We are so pleased to confirm that Formby Festival will be making a return to Duke Street Park on Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of July 2018. Last year was an amazing success raising money for various charities. As ever we’ve been planning to make the weekend even bigger and better than the last, and we’ve got lots of exciting announcements coming up.
Friday night just got BIG! We're so excited to announce that @BongosBingo88 will be joining us on Friday for our first ever over 18's only night.
Saturday will be jam packed back-to-back with bands and performers as they take to the main stage to entertain the food court as well as the showcases and performances in our display arena. We’ll have an all-new redesigned Children’s entertainment area with bouncy castles, fun slides, rodeo bulls and the famous assault course! Visitors can also take a peek at some of our live chef demonstrations and take a stroll through our farmers’ market whilst the little ones make their own creations at our Kids Cooking sessions. These can be booked online soon via the website! Saturday night will be hotting up with another headline act as well as a live DJ set before the main event; the Formby Festival fireworks!
Don’t forget to visit us on Sunday too, we’ll have our signature batala band parading through. You won't want to miss them!

Formby Festival is proud to be a not-for-profit event, our aim is simple; to bring the community together for an action packed weekend …but what happens to the profits?
Each year we choose a few nominated charities to donate a portion of profits to, with the rest directly going back into the fund for the following year.
This year we’re proud to be supporting Variety: The Children’s Charity
All over the UK there are children who have to cope with sickness, disability or disadvantage. It’s tough. Really tough. Variety provide practical, tangible help that makes an immediate difference to those children and their families. Each year they take tens of thousands of children on great days out through their Great Days Out Programme.
They help fund children’s hospitals and hospices, creating environments that are more welcoming and reassuring. Children cared for at home are given specialist equipment to alleviate the symptoms of chronic conditions, improve their everyday care and help reduce stress for both children and parents.
Youth clubs receive their funding for equipment, enabling them to offer more facilities, attracting vulnerable young people and keeping them off the street.
