Charity Ball organised by Hightown's Joe Cannon for MSA this November
Following on from the very successful MSA Charity Ball in November 2016 by Joe Cannon from Hightown, raising an incredible £32,000. Joe Cannon and Rachel Bache have teamed up to host the next MSA Charity Ball in Liverpool.
The ball is to raise awareness and funds for Multiple System Atrophy Trust (MSA Trust) in memory of Joe's mother, Sharon.
The event will be attended by a host of celebrities. Joe said: “At first the idea came from my friend Jamie, he wanted to brave the shave for MSA to raise money to help the charity but also donating his hair to The Little Princesses Trust. The first event turned out to be much bigger than originally planned! Mum would be so proud that we are still fundraising in her memory. This is a terrible debilitating disease; we really need people to support Multiple System Atrophy Trust so they can hopefully find a cure in the future."
Sharon Cannon died from the rare neurological disease multiple system atrophy (MSA) in late 2013.

Chief Executive at the MSA Trust, Karen Walker, said: “We are very grateful to all the Cannon family and their friends for raising money for the Trust and awareness about MSA. It is a devastating disease and unfortunately very few people have heard of it, including health professionals. This can lead to terrible isolation for people with MSA so it’s fantastic that the Cannon family and these super celebrities joining them are doing all they can to raise awareness. I hope they have a fantastic evening.”
