Letter to say thank you to the kind people of Formby
Dear Formby Bubble,
I just wanted to say a very big thank to the kind people of Formby.
A few weeks ago my elderly wife (Kathleen) tripped and fell in the Village and broke her arm. I was not in immediate attendance but upon my arrival at the accident there were a little group of people supporting and comforting her.
I did not get many of these kind peoples names but hopefully they will recognise themselves. There was a young man from the pillow stall, called Jay who helped to lift Kathleen, a lady who fetched a chair for her to sit on, a young lady with a babe-in-arms who kindly rang 999 for the ambulance, another lovely lady with a foreign accent (says me with an Irish accent) and Catie Page, councillor who was absolutely magnificent, comforting Kathleen giving her coat to stave of cold and shock, hailing the ambulance etc and then phoning us the next day to see if she could be of any further help. To these and others I may not have mentioned, my wife and I would like to thank you so very much for your concern and kindness.
God bless you all
Ambrose Glackin
PS Kathleen had a very bad fracture to her arm but has this week had a very successful operation, thanks to the doctors and staff in Ormskirk.
