Formby residents are being encouraged to check their blood pressure to prevent a stroke
People who live in Formby are being encouraged to help prevent the onset of a stroke and have their blood pressure checked. This is down to the Rotary Club.
On Saturday 22nd April, the Rotary Club of Formby will host the annual Blood Pressure Checking Session which is located within Formby Village at the Chapel Lane Surgery from 9.15am.
Two qualified nurses will be taking the Blood Pressures. The Rotary Club are working alongside the Stroke Association because they want to help combat high blood pressure which is the single biggest risk factor for a stroke. This has proven to be extremely successful.
The Stroke Association is the UK's leading stroke charity changing the world for people affected by stroke. Because more people understand the importance of seeking emergency treatment for stroke more people than ever are benefiting from cutting-edge treatments and making full recoveries.
