Holy Trinity Bowling Club hosted a ‘bowls familiarisation' session
On Tuesday evening, 28th March, Holy Trinity Bowling Club hosted a ‘bowls familiarisation' session with 9th Formby (St Peter’s) Scouts. Together with their leaders, 27 young scouts were introduced to the noble art of Crown Green Bowling. Under the watchful eye of the club’s own qualified coach, aided by six experienced league players, the scouts were taught the basic skills of Crown Green Bowling. Organised into groups of four, they quickly entered into the spirit of the game and the general conclusion was that the evening had been a great success. Several young scouts, both boys and girls, quickly adapted to the challenges of the game. Some demonstrated a natural ability marking them out as potential future club bowlers. Holy Trinity Bowling Club is part of Holy Trinity Sports Club and is located behind Holy Trinity Church on Rosemary Lane. The club is a multi-sport venue which also offers tennis, table tennis and snooker. We are always keen to welcome new members to all sections of the sports club, both adults and children, and would welcome inquiries from anybody who is interested in joining. You can find our contact details at www.holytrinitymensbowls.co.uk - and we will happily pass on inquiries from anybody who would like to join any of the sections.
