Formby's first Independent Beer Festival starts tomorrow Friday 31st March
Red Star Brewery and Formby Cricket Club are delighted to announce the First Independent Formby Beer Festival.
The beer festival takes place on 31st March – 2nd April at Formby Cricket Club hosted by Red Star Brewery. Tickets are selling fast but a few still remain for both Saturday sessions.
Hosts of the beer festival are Red Star, Formby’s first commercial brewery for 70 years and are now into their second year of brewing finest quality cask ales.
Four of Red Star’s ten beers will be available as well as 20 other cask ales; some of which showcase other Merseyside breweries and we’re sure that everybody will find at least a few beers to their liking. For anybody not sold on cask ales, the Cricket Club bar will also be open for wines and 10 different gins.
Red Star Brewery are based in Stephenson Way, Formby and are now in their 2nd year of brewing traditional cask ales. They have already won 2 SIBA gold awards and CAMRA "Beer of the Festival' at Liverpool cathedral. Formby IPA has also been on sale in the Houses of Parliament for both Lords and MP's.

We will have 20+ cask ales and a selection of ciders. The Festival will consist of 4 sessions; Friday 7-11, Saturday, 12-5 and 7-11 and Sunday 2-6.
The Liverpool v Everton game will be on in the clubhouse during the Saturday lunchtime session.
Each session has limited numbers and is likely sell out so buy early to guarantee your date.
It is £4.50 admission and will include a Complimentary glass and programme.
For those that buy tickets online tickets, your first drink is free too. Vouchers will be sold in cards of 5 drinks for £7.50. The Sunday is a flat fee of £8 with a free cask ale bar for the entire session.
We cannot guarantee that there will be a full selection of cask ales left on the Sunday, it's simply a finish what's left session.

Q: Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
A: Only those over the age of 18 will be permitted inside the clubhouse.If you are lucky enough to look under 21 you will require ID. Please do not be offended.

A: Once you have purchased tickets online we cannot offer any refunds.
Q: What happens to any left over tokens?
A: Any unspent tokens can be handed in at the bar and the equivalent monetary value will be sent to our local Jospice in Thornton.
